Liberals to gather in Port Augusta

South Australian Opposition Leader Steven Marshall and his fellow Liberal MPs are spending three days in Port Augusta for talks on job creation opportunities in the state's mid-north.

The Liberals will bring business and community groups together at a forum which will also look at ways to grow the local economy before the closure of Alinta Energy's power stations expected as soon as next year.

"Alinta's closure will have a devastating impact on the Port Augusta community and it is important to hear directly from people in those regions about what they want for the future," Mr Marshall said.
