Kent Town: Body found inside Adelaide apartment

Forensic examiners and major crimes detectives are investigating after a dead body was found in a housing trust block of units in Adelaide.

Police had to force entry to an apartment on Rundle Street in Kent Town after conducting a welfare check.

When they were inside they discovered a man's body.

The area has now been taped off and police are investigating.

"My flat, you wouldn't hear anything," one neighbour told 9News.

"I was unaware that they police were even out there until I opened my door and there were six right outside."

It is not known how the man, aged in his 50s, died, but police are not ruling out foul play.

The body is still in the apartment block.
