Kangaroo Island bushfire contained

A bushfire burning in dense scrub on Kangaroo Island's north coast has been contained.
The blaze at Western River was sparked by lightning on Wednesday and burnt through about 15 hectares northwest of Parndana before being brought under control.
Country Fire Service crews will remain in the area to conduct extensive back-burning to ensure the perimeter is secure.
