Jury discharged at SA sword attack trial

A jury has been discharged at the trial of an Adelaide man accused of using a Lord of the Rings replica sword to stab his sleeping girlfriend through the skull.

The Supreme Court trial of Adam Alberi, 25, began on Monday, when he pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of Karina Todorashko, 27, in July 2013 at the unit they shared.

But the jury was discharged on Wednesday for legal reasons and the trial re-listed for December 1.
