Housefire leads to firearms find

An Adelaide man whose home caught fire is feeling the heat after firearms were allegedly found in the house after the flames were put out.

A shotgun, a pistol and ammunition were allegedly found after the fire was extinguished at Clearview, in Adelaide's north.

The cause of the fire on Tuesday is not known, police say.

A 35-year-old man who lives at the house was arrested and charged with possessing unregistered firearms and other related offences.

He was refused bail and will appear at Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
