House destroyed by fire in SA

An Adelaide night shift worker who left her clothes drying next to a heater returned home to find it completely destroyed by fire.

It's believed the woman left the clothes in a spare bedroom of the Parafield Gardens before heading to work at 2.15am on Saturday.

Metropolitan Fire Service spokeswoman Mandy Janey said now that it was spring, it was a good idea to wait for sunny days to do laundry so they can be dried outside rather than in front of a heater.
