Homeless woman arrested after SA break-in

A homeless woman has been charged over a break-in at a home in Adelaide in which an elderly woman had her rings stolen off her fingers.

Police say the 21-year-old woman was arrested nearby after the Sunday morning attack in Christie Downs, south Adelaide, in which cash and keys were also taken.

She's been refused bail and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and aggravated assault.

The victim was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
