Hiker missing in SA's Flinders Ranges

A hiker is missing at Wilpena Pound in South Australia's Flinders Ranges.

The elderly man was last seen around 11am on Wednesday near the Wangara Lookout at Wilpena Pound.

South Australian police said a helicopter search was being carried out with local SES, CFA and National Parks and Wildlife rangers assisting.

"The search area is huge," a police spokesperson said.
