Roman Heinze has lost a bid to overturn his convictions for his attack on two backpackers at Salt Creek, southeast of Adelaide.

The South Australian Court of Criminal Appeal on Thursday dismissed his challenge to his conviction on six charges including indecent assault, aggravated kidnapping and endangering life.

It has also rejected an appeal against his 22-year jail term.
