Greater compensation for SA crime victims
AAP
Victims of crime in South Australia can receive greater compensation after parliament approved laws fulfilling the government's election promise.
The maximum payment available has doubled to $100,000, while grants for grief and funeral expenses have increased to $20,000 and $14,000 respectively.
The changes will apply retrospectively to eligible victims from July 1 2015, Attorney-General John Rau said on Thursday.
