Funding for SA 4yo preschool locked in

Four-year-olds across South Australia will be guaranteed time at preschool for the next two years after the state signed up to a commonwealth agreement.

The federal government in May allocated $840 million to fund two more years of the universal access program that guarantees all four-year-olds up to 15 hours a week at preschool.

"There is no question that these early years of a child's development are key to their futures and our children deserve the benefit of preschool before starting their education," SA Education Minister Susan Close said.
