Freight train stuck over Adelaide crossing

A freight train is stuck over a major crossing in Adelaide, causing severe traffic disruptions.

The train was passing through the Keswick intersections in Goodwood, with the boom gates down, just before 8am on Tuesday.

Police say a minor collision further along the tracks caused the train to become stuck across the intersections.

No injuries have been reported.

The track may not be cleared for hours.

The ABC reports that some carriages of a freight train further along the tracks had been derailed.
