Four escape house, car fire in Adelaide

A car parked in the front yard of an Adelaide home is believed to have been set on fire before the flames spread to the house which had four people inside.

The occupants of the house in the western suburb of Seaton managed to escape unscathed after the suspicious blaze broke out at around 2.30am on Wednesday, police say.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze after receiving reports of flames coming from the front of the Matthew Avenue Housing Trust home.

Authorities will investigate the fire this morning, which is being treated as an arson attack.
