Flood watch for Adelaide Hills

Parts of the Adelaide Hills remain on flood watch, but severe weather warnings for South Australia have been downgraded as the wind and rain that battered the state over the weekend subside.

The State Emergency Service is warning of localised flooding along the Onkaparinga River which may pose a threat to properties upstream from Verdun.

Heavy winds and rain battered the state over the weekend, causing damage to roofs, while roads had to be closed due to fallen trees.

The SES attended about 200 incidents.

Mount Barker road at Verdun was closed due to flooding at one stage but has since reopened.

Adelaide's weather is tipped to ease on Monday.
