Five injured as car hits pedestrians in SA

Four women have multiple injuries after a car hit them in Adelaide's city centre, with the driver also taken to hospital.
The BMW sedan struck the women, who were standing on the footpath at the intersection of Pulteney Street and Rundle Street, about 4pm on Saturday.
It was not believed the incident was a deliberate attack, police said.
The female pedestrians, ranging in age from 26 to 67, were taken to various hospitals with multiple injuries, but are all in a stable condition.
The driver, a 40-year-old man from Hampstead Gardens, was seriously injured and taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
The intersection in Adelaide remains closed while Major Crash Investigators examine the scene but is expected to reopen later on Saturday night.
