Bushfire burning on Kangaroo Island in SA

A bushfire is burning out of control in scrub on Kangaroo Island's north coast and is a threat to people and property in the area.

The blaze at Middle River is travelling in a southeasterly direction and conditions are continually changing, the Country Fire Service says.

A watch and act message has been issued with locals urged to follow their bushfire survival plans.
