Experts meet in SA to talk renewables

Misconceptions about renewable energy will be dispelled when leading scientists and economists meet in South Australia on Thursday, the state government says.

The SA government has convened the group to provide accurate information about the role of renewables in Australia, ahead of a meeting of the country's energy ministers in Melbourne on Friday.

New York's Energy and Finance Chairman Richard Kauffman, Australia's Chief Scientist Alan Finkel, former Liberal leader John Hewson and economist Ross Garnaut are among those attending.
