Drug lab found in Adelaide concrete bunker

Police are dismantling a drug laboratory found inside a concrete bunker under a partially-built house in Adelaide.

A 45-year-old man from Parafield Gardens has been arrested after the clandestine lab was discovered at Mawson Lakes on Wednesday.

The man, who's charged with taking part in the manufacture of a controlled drug and possessing prescribed equipment, will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Friday.

HOW TO SPOT A DRUG LAB:

* drawn curtains during daylight

* people carrying laboratory glassware into the premises

* extensive and excessive security systems

* frequent visitors who only stay briefly

* chemical smells

* chemical/fertiliser/empty pill/capsule containers in rubbish

* pool cleaning equipment around the house when there's no swimming pool

* excessive chemical containers on premises.
