Drink driving charge for man in parked car

An Adelaide man who was found slumped over the steering wheel of a parked car with the engine running will be charged with drink driving.

Police spotted the stationary car with its lights on at Seacliff Park in the early hours of Thursday and breath tested the man in the driver's seat.

The 46-year-old from Morphett Vale allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.258, more than five times the legal limit.

His licence was immediately suspended for a year and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
