Two dead, six injured in SA smash

Two people are dead and six people, including a small girl, have been seriously injured in a crash between a car and mini-bus in Adelaide.

Police say the collision occurred on Main South Road at Huntfield Heights just before midday on Saturday.

Two women from the mini-bus, a 61-year-old driver and 90-year-old passenger, died at the scene.

Four other people have also been rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car, a 33-year-old man, and a small girl were taken to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

The state's road toll now stands at three compared to two at the same time last year.
