Remains found in Adelaide's inner east that led to heavy police presence identified as a dog

Remains found earlier today south-west of Hackney Bridge in Adelaide's inner eastern suburbs, that police initially believed were human remains, have been identified as those of a dog.
Eastern Adelaide police arrived at the scene just after 10am following a tip-off from a member of the public.
A heavy presence by local police led to a large area of the park being cordoned off while SES and detectives investigated.
A Forensic Pathologist removed the remains from the scene for further examination to determine whether they were human.
This afternoon police confirmed the remains were part of an animal, believed to be a dog.
SA Police said no further investigation would be required.
