'Car thief' prised from Adelaide business

An accused car thief has been prised from the roof cavity of an Adelaide city business after being chased by police.

The 30-year-old man was seen jumping the fence of the car repair service shop on Pulteney Street at about 6am.

He then climbed on to the roof and made his way inside the building.

Cranes from fire crews and police dogs helped find the Davoren Park man as morning traffic flowed by the busy city street, three hours after he allegedly entered the site.

He is expected to be charged with illegal interference and serious criminal trespass.
