SA bushfire destroys 30 hectares

A bushfire burning uncontrolled south of Adelaide has destroyed more than 30 hectares of grassland as fire crews continue to battle to bring it under control.

The blaze on Wednesday was burning at Myponga Beach with the Country Fire Service deploying significant resources including ground crews and water bombing aircraft.

Weather conditions in the area were said to be continually changing with the CFS issuing a watch and act message and urging locals to follow their bushfire survival plans.

The fire was reported to be threatening at least one house, with fire crews working to also protect a number of isolated farm buildings in the area.
