Two brothers have pleaded guilty to manslaughter over the death of a man during a violent brawl at Mount Gambier.

Jordon and Dominic Von Stanke, who were originally charged with murder, appeared in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday over the death of Rex Court last year.

They pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter after brokering a plea deal with prosecutors.

The court previously heard Mr Court, 32, was left with severe head injuries during a street brawl in May 2017.

Prosecutors alleged the brothers threw Mr Court to the ground, where they kicked and stomped him.

He was flown to the Flinders Medical Centre, but later died of his injuries.

The pair maintained the killing was not murder, and they acted in self-defence.

A 15-year-old boy was initially also charged with murder, but that charge was dropped in the youth court.

He last week pleaded guilty to recklessly causing serious harm to Anthony Wilson - a friend of Mr Court - during the brawl.

The Von Stanke brothers made no comment as they left court with several supporters on Tuesday.

They are due to face the Supreme Court in October.
