Bishop and Wong to get honorary doctorates

Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop and Senator Penny Wong will be among nine eminent Australians to be awarded honorary doctorates at the University of Adelaide next week.

The institution says the pair will be deemed Doctors of the University, of which they are both graduates, during its upcoming graduation ceremonies.

Others who will receive the title include former Senator Amanda Vanstone and pioneering burns specialist and surgeon Fiona Wood.
