Barbed wire foils stolen car chase in SA

A stolen car chase has come to an end after a man became stuck while trying to drive through a barbed wire fence.

The 39-year-old allegedly stole the car from a home in Hay Flat, south of Adelaide, early on Friday morning, police say.

The home owner called police after waking up to the robbery, and the man was arrested after he tried and failed to drive through a barbed wire fence.

He will appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Friday charged with offences including the illegal use of a car and engaging in a police pursuit.
