Attempted murder charge over SA stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed several times last night at Whyalla Playford in South Australia.
Just before 9pm on Saturday police were called to a home in the town to find the woman with serious head and facial injuries.
She was taken to the Whyalla Hospital for treatment then airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A short time later police arrested a 44-year-old man known to the victim and charged him with attempted murder.
He was refused police bail to appear in the Whyalla Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
