Assault leaves SA man with head injuries

A South Australian man is in hospital with head and leg injuries after a group of masked intruders assaulted him inside his home.

The trio left the victim with lacerations, assaulted two other people who were present and stole cash after forcing their way into the Mt Gambier residence late on Tuesday night, police say.

The suspects remain on the loose.
