ARENA cuts 'will kill Port Augusta solar'
AAP
The federal government's plans to cut renewable energy funding will destroy proposals for a solar thermal plant in Port Augusta, South Australia's premier says.
Jay Weatherill has urged his federal Labor colleagues not to support cuts to the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, included in the Turnbull government's omnibus budget repair bill before the parliament.
"It would kill the Port Augusta project ... there's no doubt about that," Mr Weatherill told reporters on Friday.
