Wanted card skimmer extradited to SA

A French man accused of stealing from 31 people after allegedly skimming their bank cards at ATMs is being extradited to South Australia.

The 35-year-old was arrested by Western Australian police after arriving in Australia.

The man was wanted in South Australia over a series of thefts in 2014 involving card skimming.

South Australian detectives on Friday successfully applied to a Perth court for his extradition.

SA police say once the man arrives in Adelaide, he will be charged with aggravated theft of personal information and aggravated theft against 31 victims.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Adelaide Magistrates Court on January 3.
