Adelaide woman burnt in kitchen fire
AAP
An Adelaide woman has been taken to hospital with burns after a pan of oil caught alight and a fire spread through her kitchen.
It took fire crews 25 minutes to extinguish the housefire in Athelstone in Adelaide's northeast on Thursday afternoon.
The fire likely erupted because the young woman tried to pick up and move a frying pan of flaming oil, an MFS spokeswoman said.

"Any pan with oil on fire should never be moved. Use a fire blanket to smother it, turn off the heat source and allow the pan to cool," she said.
The woman, who was home alone, suffered minor burns to her hands.
The damage bill was set at $30,000.
