Adelaide pitch invaders face longer ban

Pitch invaders at Adelaide Oval now face a minimum 12-month ban from the stadium after an incident during Sunday's AFL showdown between the Adelaide Crows and Port Power.

A Port supporter ran halfway across the oval before being stopped by security guards and escorted from the ground.

On Wednesday the Stadium Management Authority said the man had been slapped with a 12-month ban and all such pitch invaders would face the same penalty in future.

The previous minimum ban was three months.
