Adelaide man hurt, daughter dead in car

A man remains under police guard and in a serious condition in hospital after his daughter was found dead in a car in Adelaide.

Police had been looking for the car on Sunday night after concerns were raised about the pair.

Just after 11.30pm, officers located the vehicle in Kidman Park.

They found the man in the car, conscious but with a serious injury to his abdomen, while the woman was dead.

Police said her death was being treated as suspicious.

"The investigation into the matter is continuing and there is a lot of background information that police are trying to establish," a spokesman said.

Investigating officers have been unable to speak to the dead woman's father because of his condition.
