Adelaide man charged over choking attack

A man who allegedly choked a woman in Adelaide's northern suburbs has been charged with attempted murder.

Police say they were called to Para Vista on Wednesday afternoon and found the 19-year-old man parked in his car with the woman, who had been assaulted.

The woman, who was known to the man, was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital and discharged shortly afterwards.

The man will appear in the Elizabeth magistrates court on Thursday.
