A 64-year-old Adelaide man has been charged with indecent filming and banned from catching trains or going near train stations.

The Christie Downs man was on Thursday charged with theft and unlawful possession following a police investigation into a spate of bike thefts at Oaklands Park railway station.

He was then charged with indecent filming after officers examined his mobile phone, and is banned from using trains along the Seaford line or going to any of the line's railway stations for three months, police say.
