An Adelaide man's quick thinking during a break-in at his home has led to the arrest of two men, police say.

The men are due to face Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday after they were arrested inside a Plympton Park home about 1.30am.

The owner had called police and locked himself in his bedroom after he heard someone inside the house.
