Adelaide grocer kidnapped: police

An Adelaide grocery shop owner was forced into the back of his car and driven around by two armed would-be-robbers wearing balaclavas.

The 48-year-old Pooraka man was closing his Colonel Light Gardens shop just before 11pm on Monday, when he was approached by the two gloved, masked men who were carrying guns.

They threatened him, demanded cash and forced him into the back of his silver Holden Barin.

Police say they tied the man's hands with duct tape and drove him around before leaving him and his car in a nearby street.

The victim was not physically injured and the men left empty-handed.
