Accused killer's mum denied bail over Jody Meyers' murder

The mother of the man charged with murdering South Australian woman Jody Meyers has been denied bail after being charged with helping an offender.

Margaret Archer, 55, appeared by video link in the Adelaide Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with assisting an offender.

Her 30-year-old son Neil is charged with murdering his 20-year-old partner, whose body was found under a concrete slab at his parents' Mannum property, east of Adelaide, in September.
