$1.92m for Sampson Flat bushfire victims

Families and community groups hit by the Sampson Flat bushfires have received almost $2 million to help prepare for another fire season.

The bushfires in the Adelaide Hills in January injured 134 people, mainly firefighters, destroyed 27 houses, burnt 13,000 hectares of land and caused about $24.9 million in damage.

Community groups will use some of the $1.92 million in relief funds to buy emergency equipment and replace destroyed infrastructure ahead of another scorching summer.
