A man and woman allegedly impersonated police while driving through Adelaide in a car carrying drugs, $5000 cash, a samurai sword, a loaded air rifle and stolen power tools.

The pair were caught driving a blue Kia sedan with a red and blue emergency light flashing from the dashboard, telling officers who pulled them over in Enfield they were late for an appointment, police said in a statement.

An Angle Vale man, 32, and an Elizabeth Vale woman, 30, are both facing numerous charges and have been refused police bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Friday.
