SA hospitals still swamped amid flu season

The number of elective surgeries delayed in Adelaide because of high winter demand on hospital services has reached 100.

Health minister Jack Snelling says the delays are regrettable but have been forced by the severe flu season.

"As soon as we've got through this very busy few weeks we'll make sure that their elective surgery happens as soon as possible," Mr Snelling said on Tuesday.
