SA driver discovers why wine and driving don't mix
At first glance it could be the grisly scene of a terrible car crash with red blood-like liquid gushing down over the windscreen.
Thankfully for the South Australian driver involved it wasn’t blood, but red wine that suddenly sprung a leak while being transported on the roof of his car.
Dashcam footage of the unusual driving dilemma was posted online over the weekend by Bonnie Riach of Bibaringa Wines in South Australia’s Barossa Valley.
“Part of the fun about taking your wine to be bottled,” the description on Facebook reads.
The footage shows the car travelling down a suburban street when the entire windscreen is suddenly flooded with the red liquid, obscuring the road from view.
The driver comes to an abrupt halt and on come the windscreen wipers.
