Royal hoax DJ coaxed back to air

One of the Royal hoax DJs has reportedly been offered a job by KIISFM to work with Big Brother winner Tim Dormer.

Mel Greig was spotted being wined and dined at The Meat & Wine Co in Sydney's Darling Harbour yesterday with reports from The Daily Telegraph claiming the meeting was part of a plan to return the former host to the air. 

The news comes close on the heels of Greig's tearful TV interview with Seven’s Sunday Night program where she claimed she had urged her bosses not to use the voice of a nurse who took her own life. 

In December 2012 Grieg and co-presenter Michael Christian called a hospital where Kate Middleton was being treated for morning sickness during her pregnancy and pretended to be the Queen and her son Prince Charles.

The hospital fell for the prank and three days later Jacintha Saldanha - the nurse who had transferred the call - was found hanged.

Her suicide note blamed Christian and Grieg for her death.

"I felt like a failure as a human being," Ms Grieg told the Sunday Night program. "I should have tried harder not to let that prank call air."
