Man airlifted to hospital from Royal Easter Show after being trampled by horse

A man has been taken to hospital after falling from his horse at Sydney’s Royal Easter Show.

The 27-year-old, who was riding in an Equestrian event, came off and was trampled by the animal, according to CareFlight.

The man received initial medical treatment by the show’s medical team and NSW Ambulance.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter landed on a nearby football field, before medics were transported to the showgrounds by NSW Police.

Experts assessed the man, who suffered upper body injuries, before he was taken to Westmead hospital by road in a stable condition.
