Trade Minister Andrew Robb has arrived in India for negotiations on a free trade deal.
The trip is Mr Robb's third visit to the subcontinent this year and the Abbott government hopes to ink a trade agreement by the year's end.
India is Australia's twelfth largest trading partner and two-way trade is worth approximately $15 billion.
