Shocking road rage attack caught on camera

A shocking road rage attack in Sydney's south-west left witnesses horrified as police issued a warning.

Mobile phone footage recorded the incident, which took place at what locals said was a busy and often dangerous intersection.

The footage shows one man approaching a white ute at the traffic lights, unleashing on the driver.

He flees to his own vehicle, and the ute driver gets out of his car and pursues him.

Witness Dennis Guerreiro said he saw a man standing with a shoe in his hands "screaming at the top of his lungs".

"Happens quite a bit, a lot of times it's because people are trying to turn right," he said.

"It's a no-right-turn, people put their blinker on, they start causing traffic james, they start beeping."

Police are now investigating.

Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy said both men could face serious criminal charges.

He urged people to not react to what they might see as provocation on the roads.

"Just because they've cut you off or just because something minor's happened, it's not worth going to jail for," he said.
