Rider winched to safety after serious fall on bike track in Adelaide Hills
A 47-year-old father has been winched to safety after he suffered serious injuries in a mountain bike crash in the Adelaide Hills.
The man was out riding with his family when he fell off his bike into dense bushland at the popular Eagle Mountain Bike park just after 9.30am today.
Trapped and unable to move, rescue crews were forced to call for the helicopter to airlift him to hospital.

"He was unable to walk out, he could only raise the alarm," ann SA Ambulance officer told 9News.
"So that provided some challenges for us given his remote location."
Riders on the same track say it's lucky the man wasn't riding alone.

"The park definitely serves up some challenges. Anything can go wrong so yeah, any time you take the brakes off mischief can happen," rider Brett Spears told 9News.
The man was rushed to the Royal Adelaide hospital.
He suffered serious leg injuries but is in a stable condition.
