Resume PNG resettlement talks, Labor urges

The federal government needs to start talking again with Papua New Guinea about resettling refugees who are languishing on Manus Island, Labor says.
Opposition immigration spokesman Richard Marles said discussions should resume as soon as possible.
"It's more than two years now since Labor negotiated the regional resettlement arrangement with PNG and we still haven't seen a single person resettled," he told reporters on the sidelines of a migration conference in Perth on Thursday.
