Semi-trailer bursts into flames after hitting powerlines at Ryde in Sydney's north

A semi-trailer carrying polystyrene foam has been gutted by fire after hitting powerlines on Neville Street at Ryde in Sydney's north.
A police spokeswoman said the truck had hit the powerlines before bursting into flames shortly after 11am.

Emergency services are on the scene and the fire has now been extinguished.
There have been no reports of injuries.
9NEWS understands a power pole is down and energy crews are on their way.
