Police tweet photo of 'chomped' board after reported shark attack at WA beach

A West Australian beach has been closed after a woman was taken to hospital following reports of a shark attack.
Emergency services were called to the coastal town of Denmark in the state's south about 9.45am (AWST) with reports a woman had been attacked by a shark.

A St John's Ambulance spokesman said a woman in her 30s was being taken to Denmark Hospital with lacerations to her hand.
WA Police later tweeted a photo of the woman's board with what appeared to be a chunk bitten out of it.
The beach has been closed for 48 hours.
